The company reflects on the 2017 results, with a 20%+ growth, showing tangible progress on its ‘focus to perform’ initiatives. Themed ‘Say. Do.’, the report also shares the company’s ambition to enable brighter outcomes by narrowing the say-do gap. How? By turning PowerPoint plans into executed proof points.
The consistent results for 2017 confirm the effectiveness of Barco’s go-to-market: a +20% EBITDA increase and an EBITDA margin growth of 1.9 percentage points on flat organic sales. At the same time, recent innovations helped to remain competitive and stay ahead of the pack, while delivering healthy returns on the shareholders’ investments.
2017 also marks the introduction of a new strategy with a fresh focus on enabling brighter outcomes for every stakeholder. An ambitious goal, that can only be achieved by a strong say-do mentality. With people ‘doing what they say’ and ‘saying what they do’ at the core of the company’s activities, unsurprisingly, ‘Say.Do’ has become the leitmotif of Barco’s latest company report.
